Solutions

1. We are counting by 7's as to get the number into the subsequent number we are adding 7. Thus the next three numbers that would appear would be 77,84, and 91.

2. 2. counting by 10's starting at 1000 and working backwards would require us subtracting 10 off 1000 to arrive at the first number. Thus, the starting number can be found as 990. We continue counting, going down by 10 every time. The first five numbers that appear could be: 990, 980 970, 960, 950.

3. We're missing two numbers and have a clue that they're between 33 and 55. Since we're skip counting, we know that we are addingthe same amount to the prior number. There is the gap of 66 - 33 = 22 where our two numbers lie. The gap needs to be divided equally in three pieces(from 33 to the next number and from that number up to the following number and from the previous number through 55) This means that we have to be counting through 11's. The missing numbers are the 44 number and then 55.
